Choosing the right domain name

A good domain name should be easy to read, easy to remember and easy to pronounce. Avoid unnecessary complexity, confusing spelling and strings that are hard to communicate by voice.

The best choice depends on the project. A brand domain can be distinctive and original, while a generic domain can clearly describe a product, service or market.

Consider the extension carefully. A .it domain is often strong for the Italian market, while .com remains the most recognized international extension. Other extensions may work well for specific sectors, but they should not create confusion for users.

Before choosing a name, check possible trademark conflicts, previous use, social handles, search results and whether similar domains are already used by competitors.

If the ideal name is already taken, you can consider buying it, choosing a strong alternative or monitoring it in case it expires in the future.
